We only had one night at this place but they absolutely exceeded all expectations. The room was exquisite, clean and gorgeous. Comfortable bed, a beautiful walk-out balcony and a fantastic shower room. The hospitality is second to none and the food was amazing. I only wish we had longer to stay here!

Hidden gem! Everything has been perfect. The hotel is very tasteful, very intimate in the middle of the jungle and the rice paddies. Waking up with the birds singing and the monkeys playing in the trees. The staff is very friendly and helpful. 5-star service.
Only regret, we couldn’t stay any longer. We will definitely come back!

Taru Villas Maia is an exceptional hotel. Our chalet was spacious, beautifully designed and peaceful. The hotel is well located to visit cultural sites and to go to the elephant safari. We went on an evening boat ride and were treated to the sight of elephants on the bank. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and we loved our Sri-Lankan breakfasts!
